Doug Saunders is a registered valuer with significant experience throughout the wider Waikato region, beginning his career as a rural valuer before shifting his focus to commercial and industrial property.

Formerly a Director and Co-Owner of independent valuation company TelferYoung, Doug has also held various board roles within the company and in the local community. These include five years as a board member of St Andrew’s Golf Club in Hamilton, and as a member of Woodstock Primary School’s Board of Trustees. He also remains active in the property sector as a Director of CBRE Valuation and Advisory Services.

With a long-held interest in rural communities, Doug’s role as Property Committee Chair supports the practical growth of the Waikato Farmers Trust. Here, Doug is passionate about connecting rural and urban communities and helping develop greater employment and development opportunities throughout the Waikato region.
